The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel by Deborah Moggach was a nice companion to the movie I saw last year. As with any book, it offered in depth internal dialog and background that a movie could never serve. The movie condensed a couple characters and removed complete story lines. The book was quite full in comparison but
the movie holds its own in the story telling. I think it was the most excellent actors also that brought the characters to life.
The book had more time to contemplate old age, race, mortality, and relationships. The description of the poverty in India made me grateful for have being born in the USA and for all I have in life. I liked revisiting this story in is book form.
