Something you probably don’t know about me: I love hair braiding and nail polish videos. Around 2016, I was totally obsessed and followed various Facebook pages that had these types of videos. There’s an ASMR quality to them that is calming yet exciting. Weird, I know. I had to ween myself away only allowing an occasional indulgence.
Then TikTok happened. I’ve managed to stay away from nail polish videos but some of the hair videos are amazing. This young woman curls her hair with different implements (straws, rags, oval curling irons) to see the quality of curl. She braids her hair in complicated patterns, has a wide-assortment of corsets and crowns, and cosplays vikings, princesses, and ren-faire. Oh and she does mermaid videos too.

I have thin hair so my braids were significantly smaller. I did a french braid down the sides with the string and then tied the braids up around my head for that Dutch girl look (last name is Dutcher 🙂 lol) I just love all my new silver strands. Thank you pandemic.
