This was the hardest day. I worked intensely and then didn’t feel very creative. I did run through all my scheduled activities to fill up my day but my tummy didn’t feel 100% so I felt a little blue.
Things I miss
- being able to eat when/what I want
- non-plastic utensils (especially knives)
- sun/rain
- fresh air/wind
- walking
Escape Plans
I’m close enough to getting out of quarantine that I’m thinking about what it will be like to get out. Maybe that’s one reason I was blue too, realizing what I don’t have at the moment.
We get a day in Sydney before we fly to our final Melbourne destination. We can leave as early as 5am but no later than 10am. I’m hoping to leave, go to the next hotel, drop our bags, and walk to the Sydney Opera House. It’s been 30 years since I was last there and it’s an iconic spot to declare my freedom. We only have the day so I want to walk as much as possible. I would love to stumble upon a hair salon and get my hair cut by someone other than me. A girl can dream.
